About Us:

Vision: Celebrating, Living, and Sharing Christ's Love for All.

The mission of Chapel Hill is to provide a faith-centered church home guided by prayer and committed to furthering the kingdom of God on Earth through worship, nurture, education, fellowship, witness, mission, and community outreach.

History of Chapel Hill United Methodist Church

Chapel Hill United Methodist Church was formed on July 1, 1975, when Central and Evangel United Methodist Churches merged. At that time, the two churches and then the new church were under the pastoral leadership of the Rev. Dr. Neil L. Irons, who led the new congregation in its effort to construct and dedicate a new church building. The congregation dedicated the new building in September of 1979. Since that time, the church has been served by five senior pastors, Steven Engle, Ellis Conley, Gary Stackpole, Joseph Shreve, and the current pastor Helen R. Oates.
Chapel Hill is an inclusive congregation. Men, women, youth and children participate as ushers, greeters, choir members and/or liturgists. ALL PERSONS are part of the body of Christ.
